I am starting my 11th year at St. Thomas. This will be my 10th year teaching our Kindergarten. I am excited to have my "All Day K" as well as my "Kindergarten Enrichment" students who join us in the afternoons.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Kent State University. I have, also, taken many Continuing Education classes or workshops in Reading Instruction, Cooperative Learning, Teaching Students with Special Needs, Differentiated Instruction and Best Practices in Kindergarten Teaching.
In my spare time I like to spend time with my family and friends, read a good book, play the piano, or watch Netflix. I love a good cup of coffee in the morning. I play hand bells in my church Bell Choir.
I have been married to my husband, Dave, for 27 years. He teaches American History and coaches wrestling and golf at Lutheran West High School. We have 2 children (and one cat). Jacob is at Cleveland State University studying Computer Science. Mandi is at Concordia University, Ann Arbor studying Family Life Ministry. She will be going to South Africa in January for a 6 month internship.
I am looking forward to working with you and your child this year. I thank you in advance for working with me this school year to make it a great learning experience for your child.
